- You'd like ideas for navigating school, healthcare, or support systems
- You want to connect with others who share similar parenting experiences
- You want to help not only your child, but yourself

All NAMI programs are offered at no cost to participants.
You’ll get a chance to share what’s going on in your life … but you can also just listen and learn. Participate to whatever degree you feel comfortable.
Yes, everything shared in the group stays within the group. We ask all participants to respect each other’s privacy.
No, the group is open to parents and caregivers of any youth showing signs of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, substance use, disordered eating, self-harm, or other concerning behaviors.
No, this is a peer support group. While our facilitators are trained by NAMI, they are not mental health professionals. They are parents or caregivers who can also share their experiences and knowledge.
We understand the demands of parenting. Feel free to turn off your camera and/or microphone if needed — we’ve all been there.
For the purposes of Parents Helping Other Parents, a caregiver is anyone who regularly cares for or supports a young person who is having mental health challenges. This could be a grandparent, an older sibling or even someone outside the family.
