THANKS TO YOU, WE EXCEEDED OUR GOAL!
Nothing’s final just yet, but our unofficial tally shows NAMI Colorado Springs exceeding its $50,000 Give! goal.
And in this closing email of the 2016 campaign, we want to thank you. This is a caring community – one of the country’s most caring, according to one recent study. But the type of support that NAMI receives is remarkable in Colorado Springs, and anywhere.
NAMI receives no government funding. Private foundations provide tens of thousands of dollars each year, but it’s individual donors like you who generate 60 to 80 percent of NAMI’s operating budget. This level of support humbles and heartens us, and fuels us every day as we pursue our VISION:
At NAMI-Colorado Springs, we are becoming change agents dedicated to creating a community that values all people and where people with mental illness live fulfilled lives.
We know that sounds lofty, especially given that 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. But in 2017, we will serve thousands and strip away more of the stigma. Because donors like you have made it possible…again.
On behalf of our entire NAMI-CS family, staff, board, volunteers and those we serve: Thank you for believing in NAMI and in a brighter future for people affected by mental illness.
Happy New Year and warm wishes for 2017!
