NAMI classes are completely free to participants. We believe everyone should have access to mental health support, regardless of their financial situation.
While most of our presentations and courses are held in-person, we do sometimes offer hybrid or all-virtual arrangements. If you’re looking for a virtual option and we don’t have one at the moment, we can also help you find another NAMI affiliate that is offering something virtually. Absolutely! Multiple caregivers of the same child are welcome, and many find it helpful to share the class experience.
No, this is peer support. While our facilitators are trained by NAMI, we’re parents helping parents by sharing experiences and strategies. We complement, but don’t replace, professional mental health care.
Yes. Early intervention into mental health challenges can be extremely helpful, so trust your gut. If you think something is up, give yourself the chance to learn more through this course.
