Frequently Asked Questions

NAMI classes are completely free to participants. We believe everyone should have access to mental health support, regardless of their financial situation.

While most of our presentations and courses are held in-person, we do sometimes offer hybrid or all-virtual arrangements. If you’re looking for a virtual option and we don’t have one at the moment, we can also help you find another NAMI affiliate that is offering something virtually. Please just contact us at 719.473.8477 or send us an email to get the conversation started.

At NAMI, peer programs are programs for those of us who live with a mental health condition. A formal diagnosis is not required to participate in NAMI programs.

No, you do not need to be receiving any kind of treatment to participate in Peer-to-Peer. We welcome people at all stages of the mental health journey, whether you’re currently in treatment or not.

Peer-to-Peer is an eight-week class, with each week’s curriculum content building upon the last. Each NAMI support group gathering follows a structure allowing people to drop in and out week-to-week.
